I make site-specific art in public spaces, art that tells stories about the place and the community, about the geology, the geography, the people who once lived here and the people who live here now, the creatures, real and imaginary, the light.
By the time I was seven, I had lived in three different countries (Poland, France and the USA). Growing up in many dramatically different places made me especially conscious of the impact of “place” on people’s lives, a consciousness that still nurtures my interest in public art as a creator of special places.
All of my public art projects are located in Arizona, most of them in Tucson. I enjoy doing projects that grow out of deep familiarity with my adopted home.
